I’m very pleased to share some exciting news — I’ve joined forces with Anne-Wies van Oosten at Anne-Wies.NL as a guest writer. It’s a platform I’ve long admired for its depth, accessibility, and ability to connect passionate wine lovers and professionals across Europe.
About Anne-Wies van Oosten and Her Platform
Anne-Wies van Oosten is a Dutch wine journalist, educator, and taster, and the founder of Anne-Wies.NL, one of the Netherlands’ leading digital platforms dedicated to wine, food, and culinary travel.
She holds the Vinoloog diploma, the WSET Level 4 Diploma, and the Weinakademiker title, earned through her thesis “The Development and Future of Wine Tourism in Transylvania.”
Her expertise and international perspective have earned her recognition well beyond the Netherlands. Dividing her time between the Netherlands and Transylvania, Anne-Wies covers topics that connect Central and Eastern Europe with the wider wine world.
In 2024, she was nominated for the Dutch “Wine Woman of the Year” award, a distinction that reflects her influence and credibility in the industry.

What makes Anne-Wies.NL distinctive is its balance between professional insight and reader-friendly storytelling. The platform publishes articles on Dutch and international wines, food pairings, event coverage, and winery features, with contributions from experts and journalists from around the world. While the site is primarily in Dutch, it occasionally features English-language articles aimed at an international audience.
My Role as Guest Writer
As part of this collaboration, I’ll contribute English-language articles focusing on Austrian and Hungarian wines — regions I feel deeply connected to and continue to explore through my own WinEncsy.com.
My goal is to bring these stories — the people, the landscapes, the traditions — to the readers of Anne-Wies.NL, while keeping the same personal, story-driven approach you know from my own platform.
Why This Collaboration Matters
This partnership feels like a natural next step. Anne-Wies.NL shares my core values: authenticity, curiosity, and a passion for communicating wine knowledge in an engaging and accessible way.
It offers a bridge between national wine scenes and the international audience eager to understand them. For me, joining the team is both a privilege and an opportunity — to introduce more people to the diversity of Central Europe’s wine culture and to continue evolving as a storyteller.
What’s Next
My first article for Anne-Wies.NL will appear soon — written in English and inspired by real experiences from vineyards visits, tastings and other culinary adventures.
In the meantime, I invite you to explore Anne-Wies.NL to see why it’s such a valued resource for both wine professionals and enthusiasts.
